Shearing Techniques with Fiona Nettleton

I produced this 100 minute video in 1988. One of my first videos after forming my business, Rural Route Videos.

Fiona had won the junior Golden Shears competition in New Zealand that spring and then came, with two shearing friends, to shear my 500 ewes. This was when we farmed in Nova Scotia.

When asked, she offered to help with this making this video but we never expected it to be such a standard in helping new shearers to learn this craft.

This video has been watched all around the globe and continues to be a true asset for anyone learning to shear.
